Jack Perry is not a career politician. He is a former Southington Town Council member, a small business owner and a dad. He started his first business with a pickup truck and a plan he wrote in high school, built HQ Dumpsters from the ground up and created jobs, and eventually had to sell it, which he says tells you how hard it has become to build and sustain a small business in Connecticut. In Hartford he says he will focus on the basics: lowering costs, expanding access to child care and housing, and making sure small businesses and working families have a fair shot.

  • Connecticut families pay the second highest electric rates in the nation, 28 cents per kilowatt hour against a national average of 17.5. In Jack Perry's own words, "Eversource is gouging Connecticut families of their money, and it's time we put an end to it." He has published a full energy platform built on stronger utility oversight, clearer electric bills, transparent rate reviews, and publicly owned power grids of the kind seven Connecticut towns already run at far lower rates

  • Families across this district should not need a second job to keep up with bills rising faster than their paychecks. Perry's test for every proposal is whether it lowers costs, improves service or increases accountability, and he commits to holding utilities and state agencies accountable for unjustified fees and charges and to responsible tax relief that protects essential town services.
