Senate District 16

Jack Perry is an independent voice for our community, working with both parties to lower costs for Connecticut families, because public office should be about serving the people, not political party purity.

  • Jack Perry believes that a monopoly utility company, Eversource, is gouging Connecticut families of their money while it makes record profits, and it is time to put an end to it. He has a plan to hold Eversource accountable to us, putting a guardrail on rate increases, creating more transparency in how it operates, and banning it from billing consumers for its lobbying expenses.

  • A father of two young kids, Jack Perry shares the concerns of many over rising costs for childcare, groceries, utilities, healthcare and gas. In Hartford, he’ll fight to lower costs so that if you work hard, you can once again build a good life, support your family and retire with dignity.

Rob Sampson is on the side of greedy big corporations, putting their profits ahead of our wallets

  • Rob Sampson isn’t interested in protecting Connecticut residents and their personal information from unscrupulous online and AI companies. He voted against a law that stops big price-gouging corporations from using your precise location data or purchase history to charge you more than other customers.

  • Tens of thousands of Connecticut residents are living paycheck-to-paycheck. Yet Rob Sampson was the only State Senator who voted to protect the big prescription drug companies and opposed price caps on insulin, calling efforts to prevent price gouging on life saving drugs “socialism.”

  • Rob Sampson says he has no problem with huge AI data centers despite the fact that they use massive amounts of electricity, strain the local water supply, increase electricity outages and drive up already sky-high utility rates.

  • Rob Sampson voted against giving working and middle class families the first opportunity to buy homes before private equity companies can buy them and jack up prices and he voted against restricting private equity companies from controlling our local hospitals and clinics or from purchasing Connecticut nursing homes and then leeching them of funds and running them into the ground.
